There are new developments to share on the Wonderfully Made programme. The curriculum for Relationships and Sex Education for primary will be available in more countries in Europe and beyond.
Germany
The pilot at the Georg Müllerschulen in Bielefeld and Steinhagen is proceeding to the satisfaction of the German team as well as to the DCU team. In April the German version will be presented at a conference of the Verband Evangelischer Bekenntnisschulen (VEBS). The German program will be made available for all schools in the country as well as in Austria through www.wonderfullymade.eu later in 2024. Together with the German team, DCU is developing a road map to train school staff in regions across Germany.
France, Benin and Burkina Faso
The French team has started the first phase of translation and contextualisation of the Wonderfully Made program. The aim is to make this French-European version available for the Christian schools in France and French-speaking schools in Switzerland and Belgium. Yet the French project reaches even further.
Team Dedras (Benin) and team Credo (Burkina Faso), both partners of Woord & Daad, have started their activities on contextualisation of the manuals for the African context. The French version of the manuals are made available by the French team. Along with the contextualisation, online training sessions including train-the-trainer elements are delivered by DCU.
The French program will be made available for all schools in France, Benin and Burkina Faso through www.wonderfullymade.eu later in 2024.
