More than twenty teachers in Sierra Leone have finished module 1 last June. The teachers are employed at several schools which belong to either the Cotton Tree Foundation Sierra Leone (CTF) or the Evangelical Fellowship of Sierra Leone (EFSL).
arlier in May a group of teachers of Care Channels Learning Center (Lahore, Pakistan) finished the same module.
The Dutch-English team of lecturers as well as the three coordinators of both organizations in Sierra Leone worked closely together in order to present the most appropriate module content.
Now module 1 is over, three more sessions will be dealing with train the trainer skills. A small group out of the current course will be selected to become teacher trainers in their schools.
After the summer, module 2 has been scheduled (theme: intrinsic motivation, character
development and Christian world view). At the moment we are discussing how CTF and EFSL could spread the training to more schools in their networks and beyond. So that the country of Sierra Leone will benefit from their teachers who will have been immersed by
Christian teaching with transformative impact.
